Grandparents give the best gifts, don't they? Peter's Gigi & Papa know how much he loves being outside and how much he LOVES to swing. I mean the kid would spend all day on the swing if he could find someone to push him. Since he will be two in June, they wanted to give him the gift of outdoor play this summer and purchased an amazing swing set from Costco. Like all things from Costco it is huge. It came in five giant boxes and is complete with two slides, mini climbing wall, three swing spots, toy grill, steering wheel, telescope and a perfect little door with a bell on top. The instruction manual was also huge, like over 50 pages worth of huge. I mean, why wouldn't it be? It had so many parts that it came with a laminated parts key that was probably three feet tall by three feet wide. Upon pulling all the pieces out of the boxes and seeing the instruction manual with over 50 steps, all I could think was how very happy I was that Tom would assemble the thing, because, well, I hate following detailed instructions. Thank goodness I have a detail oriented husband around to counteract such craziness especially for projects like these! After about 15 hours worth of assembly with lots of help from Sweet Pete, here is the finished product. It was so worth it! Peter and his mama are very happy campers. Annabelle will love it to when she's a little older. She already enjoys swinging in someone's lap. A big thank you to my handy husband and my generous parents. Peter is one lucky little kid to have such a fun play set right in his back yard! ![]() +++ Bunn & Sons Home Renovations provides kitchen and bath remodeling, basement finishing and custom projects in the Broomfield, Louisville, Lafayette and other North Denver Metro areas.
