Unfortunately contractors don't always have the best reputation for integrity and follow through. One of our recent clients learned that the hard way. Instead of being left with a beautifully finished basement, the contractor he selected left him with an incomplete project, a drained bank account and many sleepless nights worrying about how he would ever fix the situation. It really helped when you described the importance of being clear about your project's payment with your contractor. My little sister wants to re-do her whole kitchen next month, so she's looking for a reliable contractor to help her, and I think she needs to read your article first. Thank you for the advice on hiring a contractor for your renovation project.
