Tom recently worked on a project to turn an old Platte Park basement into a fully updated rentable space. With a location super close to South Pearl in the heart of one of Denver's hottest neighborhoods, our client shouldn't have any problem renting it out.
Old houses are always full of surprises and this one was no exception. From finding asbestos in the flooring to a lathe and plaster wall behind the sheet rock, it kept Tom on his toes. In the end, it turned out super cute and we hope whoever lives there enjoys the kitchenette Tom built!
Tom has a to-do list an our house too...problem is, he's almost always working at someone else's house these days which is great! We decided to take a little vacation for the 4th, so he's working hard at home this week. I guess that means I'm on vacation since he's still working. :)
One of the things I asked him to do was make a permanent baby gate solution. I wanted something that would be easy enough for the toddler to open so he could go downstairs and play with his toys and something that would fold out of the way when we weren't using it. This is what he came up with. What a handy guy I'm married to!
We hope you're all doing well and enjoying the freedoms of America this 4th of July week!
Hi, I'm Brook Bunn - wife to Tom, the bathroom and kitchen remodeler extraordinaire. I've given this guy so many projects to do since we were married just a few short years ago. It will be fun to tell you all about them!
